Samuel Otu is a result-oriented business leader with over 32 years’ experience in production management, supply chain management and business improvement in a highly diversified manufacturing sector.

Sam has extensive manufacturing operations and business management experience from holding senior management and top executive positions at various times with multinational and indigenous companies including; Director, Supply Chain at Dangote Industries Limited, (DFM, Pasta and Noodles) for 9 years. Sam was responsible for End-to-End Supply Chain strategy formulation and execution for Dangote Flour Mill, Pasta & Noodles business in Nigeria.

Before then and for about 20 years, he was with Unilever, a leading global consumer goods manufacturing Company, quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, taking responsibility at different times as Manufacturing Manager, Product Manager, Factory Manager – Personal Care, and Regional Supply Planning for Central Africa (Oral & Personal Care) etc.

He has a master’s degree (M. Sc.) in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and a bachelor’s degree (B. Sc) Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. He is a Certified Supply Chain Management Specialist (CSCMS) and a Certified Business Management Expert (CBME).

He has delivered projects from conceptualization to completion, on time, within cost and quality. He is excellent in general management, operations management, sales and marketing, operations planning and process optimization, sourcing and supplier management, technical and production management, manufacturing systems capacity optimization, supply chain cost reduction, quality management systems, HSE management systems, inventory and warehouse management, distribution planning and transportation management, and customer relationship management.

Sam is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pastin Nigeria Limited, where he is responsible for managing the business of three European companies (Landqart AG, Ciotola SRL, and Seprinto (SA) in Nigeria. He also provides consulting services as a council member of Alpha Sights and Gerson Lehrman Group, both in the United Kingdom.
